Goods in transit are exposed to an increased risk of damage. Goods carried by Hauliers or Shipping companies may carry insurance which protects 'them' by limiting their liability under contract.

To ensure you are fully protected we recommend you ask us for advice and arrange your own insurance protection.

It is unwise to rely on the insurances of Hauliers and independent Warehouse companies. Their cover may depend on them being legally liable due to negligence and be limited to a certain amount per tonne. Their cover may contain clauses and terms and conditions preventing you from claiming due to a breach of their terms and conditions.

We recommend businesses arrange and control the insurance of their own goods in transit and not rely on the insurances of a third party Haulier, Carrier or Warehouse company.
